Perhaps, like me, you have already taken your vacation this year but could do with a few days off to enjoy time outdoors before the end of summer. For the avid golfer, getting away from the holiday makers and enjoying time on the golf course could be what you need. So, why not pack your golf trolley, clubs, a supply of golf balls then head west to a stretch of coastline with some of England’s best golf courses.

Before you leave for your break, you will need to book accommodation, decide which golf courses you want to play and book your tee times. An option to consider is the remarkable Royal Birkdale, often thought to be the best golf course in the United Kingdom. It is situated in the north west of England. This will allow you to reduce the drive time.  Another possibility is to contact the courses you are interest in or go onto their websites to see what lodging suggestions they might make. Before you begin your trip it is essential that you pre-book your tee times well ahead. If you don’t have them booked some clubs and resorts won’t let you play. Because you are on holiday, consider a later start time, and in general avoid popular times so you can enjoy a relaxing pace rather than a rushed one.

A gel golf trolley battery uses a gelified electrolyte instead of the regular liquid electrolyte. This gel is made out of a mixture of sulfuric acid and silica fume. The dilution of the sulfuric acid with silica prevents gel golf batteries from getting sulphation. The silica causes the gel to stiffen and therefore cannot pour. This is what makes gel golf batteries so unique. Even where the container develops a crack, the battery will continue to work because the silica electrolyte does not seep out.

A gel golf trolley battery does not necessarily have to be kept upright. It can be mounted in any position and still manage to function optimally. It has zero spillage and is not prone to corrosion. This is unlike flooded batteries, which have to be kept in an upright position; otherwise, they will pour and corrode as a result.

Gel golf batteries have a lower evaporation rate, are more resistant to extreme temperatures and have higher thermal stability. You can use your golf batteries in the hot summer without worrying about damaging them. They are also less likely to suffer vibration and shock. Vibration often damages the plates. You can avoid such damage by using gel batteries.

A gel golf trolley battery does not emit acid fumes during operation as is common with flooded batteries and will not discharge gases in case of overcharge. It recombines the hydrogen and oxygen produced during charging, converting it into water so that no gas is given off. This also makes the battery safe.
